Proverbs 11:14 is a key scripture to show the need for counsel in our lives. A “Tribe” member is someone who is ahead or alongside you in your walk with Christ. One of my Tribe is my prayer partner Aileen. She was a member of a prayer group I was a part of from 2019-2020. The Lord told me to get to know her among all the people in the group. She had a service dog and had lived in Alaska for over 45 years. During the crisis of 2020, I received a word of knowledge while at the prayer group. The Lord said, “Prayer Partners. Whatever happened to prayer partners?” Right after that, I had a dream that included Aileen where she and I were separate from a group on stage led by our prayer group leader. In the dream, the leader was called to another assignment. I will share more about that dream another time as it included spiritual warfare the Lord was showing me as well. Two weeks after the dream, the prayer group was disbanded. I was very upset by that, but could see the Lord had completely prepared me for my prayer partnership with Aileen. It is one of the most precious relationships in my life. I am so thankful for how the Lord “prepares a table” for us.

In addition to each of the Spirit Life Circles and Workshops mentors and members including so many of you on this site, Kathy J is a member of my tribe that the Lord has strategically put in my path on several key junctures in my life. When I reflect on my history with her, I find that there are shifting seasons of growth connected with her. We had a season where we trained together more than a decade ago and stretched each other in that area. A chance meeting in a Panera after years of no connection reminded her of me and the Lord gave her the assignment to simply gift me my ministry website. And recently the Lord prompted her to ask me to join her for a conference in TX that will likely involve a new upgrade in my ability to serve. When I think of Kathy, I am reminded of how God’s favor works to bless us and move us forward. Thanks for this discussion, Michelle, and I hope that others chime in with their stories as well.

I’m so glad you were able to spend a few days with Kathy J again and that she is part of your Tribe. I’m sure you have reflected back to many moments and have lingering nuggets to treasure with perhaps more coming.

You have been such a blessing in my life. I’m so grateful for you.
