God’s Daily Word
Posted by PSADALLAH on December 10, 2024 at 12:17 pmBased on Dr. Patty’s Foundational Lesson of the same name. Share your experiences here related to accepting the challenge of asking God to give you a “word” each day to focus your day. This could be a scripture, a word, or a concept. Ask Him clarifying questions and share here how the Lord used that word to help you in your day.

I LOVE this forum idea! I commit to this week with Dr. Patty starting tomorrow, Monday, December 16, 2024. God gives me scriptures and words, often what I call “waking words”, but this intentional pursuit is going to be really fun. I’m also checking below the “Notify me of new replies” so I can see what everyone else is receiving. Here’s to a great week!

I just watched the daily Word video tonight and I am going to give it a try. May I ask, how do you ask God a Word specifically? Would that means: Ask God to give me a scripture and then wait on him, … after receiving a specific scripture, meditate on it and look for the answer about the Word for the day. Am I right? I am looking forward to go on this new holy Habit and learn more from here

Thanks for asking, Esther. It is very simple. As you are praying and journaling, simply ask God, “What is your “word” for me today?” And then tune to the flow of pictures, thoughts, feelings, etc. Then allow Him to pop something into your mind. Sometimes it may simply be one word. (faith, encouragement, patience, worship, etc.) Sometimes He may remind you of a scripture. IE: (be still and know that I am God- Psalm 46:10 or ask, seek, and knock Matt. 7:7) Whatever you receive, ask Him to clarify what He wants you to be looking for related to that word today. Ask Him to increase your sensitivity in the area of that word today. Then make sure you journal at the end of the day to see what He had for you related to that word. Let me know if you have more questions.

Day 2: Today’s word is “Gem. Recall the sapphire gem I gave you for your scepter. You have My gift to use to spread light to the world.”
Background: In an encounter with Jesus near my place He has shown me known as my “arche” (place of authority), a prayer coach facilitated to experience Jesus there as I was also seated on a throne. Jesus walked up to me and gave me a scepter and asked what type of stone was given to me. It was a sapphire. There are many awesome things to know about sapphires in scripture. In Exodus 24: 9Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10and they saw the God of Israel. Under His feet was a work like a pavement made of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself. 11But God did not lay His hand on the nobles of Israel; they saw Him, and they ate and drank.…
In Ezekiel’s vision, found in chapter 10 of the book by the same name: …25And there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood still with their wings lowered. 26Above the expanse over their heads was the likeness of a throne with the appearance of sapphire, and on the throne high above was a figure like that of a man.
I just LOVE that God recalled that sapphire gem to me today and blessed me with His gift to keep going and share with the world. Blessings.

Day 3 – Hope. I am the hope for all mankind. (I see me as a special delivery person like Mr. McFeeley from Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. The Lord says, “See yourself in thus position as you go about your day.
Day 4 – I hear a scripture in James. It is 5:1 and an odd one but a reminder of how riches are nothing compared to God’s treasures. This resonates with me in a family situation. Thank you Lord for this affirming word. I love it when I receive that. The Lord shared with me that Kingdom Marketplace is a dormant seed: “I will water in due time. Keep it fresh and I will water it and give you the knowledge you seek. Keep praying for it.”
This is very important to me as the Lord put on my heart to be an e-commerce site within our ministry to help others grow their businesses. To trust in the Lord’s due time is certainly a journey. To do His assignments without any consideration for the world’s riches in another thing to ponder. As I was sitting with the Lord about this, He brought to my mind the widow who cried out to Elisha to help her. Her one container of oil was multiplied to save her two sons from being sold into slavery. She was a widow of one of the sons of the prophets. They had sowed into God. When I asked the Lord what helse he might want to tell me about this story, he said “She is a great example of ‘ask, seek, knock.'” This is especially important to me as Dr. Patty and I produce a weekly show in The Now Network nd Matthew 7:7 often bubbles up. We must keep asking, seeking, and knocking for God to show us our part and move in that.

I love that you found a scripture to take you deeper with this word for you! It is so important to dig deeper with the words that God gives you. The Lord gave me the word “fantastic” last week and what He was meaning was more of the definition of this word related to imagination and creativity. The word “fantasy” comes from the root word of fantastic. God was challenging me to imagine for greater things for 2025 with this word!
My word for today is “equipping”. He revealed to me that our next Live Event Spirit Life Workshop will be about Equipping Kingdom Leaders to empower them to teach people how to include Jesus in all aspects of life and assignments.
