Hi Esther,
I apologize for not seeing your question! I would say the best way to grow in your ability to hear the Lord, and walk in the Spirit, is to enter into the two-way/dialogue Journal exercises with the Lord and have a trusted person who DOES hear well, tell you if they sense God in the answers you receive. My biggest growth in hearing Him and walking by the Spirit has been to journal all my questions and answers and have trusted spiritual counselors look at it. Over time you will gain confidence as you consistently dialogue with the Lord. I would ask Him all sorts of questions about my everyday life, about how to work more efficiently, how to discern if something was from Him, etc. I just kept asking questions and verifying the answers He gave. Then I grew to trust what I was receiving in my Spirit. Hope this helps!

I don’t have a video to share but it’s something I will talk to Patty about. She may have a podcast, or video she can share with the forum. My main recommendation is to jump in and practice!

I love your question and would love to share more about this with you.
For me, it was a journey to receive inner healing and deliverance so I could feel the Lord’s presence WITH me. As Jesus met me that way, I began to hear His voice . I was so amazed that I resisted writing things down as, in my own reasoning, I thought I would nterrupt what I was seeing and hearing and feeling in the spirit. Then, I prayed over Habakkuk 2:1-2 and what Dr. Mark Virkler taught us to do- The 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice. The 4th Key is to write it down. Soon, I was filling journals with content and seeing it come forward in my life, etc.
Having a Tribe of those whom the Lord shows you to ask, seek, and knock together and to affirm things that bears witness is vital. I’m glad you are on this forum and am glad to meet with you as the Lord leads you.
I’m facilitating this month’s “Ask Us Anything” on Jan 27 at 7pm. We will be praying and journaling and sharing as part of that event. I hope you can attend.
