Dr. Patty earned the affectionate title of “nudger” taking me through the LIfe Verse Purpose Statement lessons. She would not give up on me when I did not understand the prompts and kept nudging me when she knew there was more. What God breaks my heart for is found in Ephesians 1:18: I pray that your eyes may be enlightened so that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” God WANTS us to see and hear and experience Him. God wants us to know how much His inheritance means for our lives. As we move forward in Online Spirit Life Workshops, I will be leading Zoom chats and sharing lessons that include more of this content. I would love to hear from others what God breaks your heart for and which scripture aligns with that. Patty will nudge you further. Blessings.

I am so glad that my nudging gave you such clarity. Connecting a life purpose to a verse somehow is so grounding. It helps me know that I am who God created me to be! Mine is John 5:19 “Truly, truly I say to you; the son does nothing on His own initiative, but only what He hears and sees the Father doing.” I help people live in sync with the Father, leading them to their Christ identity and fulfillment of their purpose. We will do a Live Verse Purpose Statement proper lesson in our RELEASE IT Online Spirit Life Workshop event in the fall. What verse do you resonate with?

You already know my verse because you helped me find it.

    Ephesians 1:18

Two applications since that you may want to include are to:

    1. Read and meditate over many versions of your scripture. Some versions and words within them resonate more than others.

    2. Look up highlighted and key words in Strongs and gaze their deeper meaning for your life purpose. For me lately is the last part of my verse concerning the “riches of His glory in the inheritance of the Saints”, a wealth transfer! Praise God! We are so rich beyond measure in Christ.

Also, the “enlightened” eyes of the heart. Oh my goodness! What God is connecting for me about that. Prior visions, experiences, etc

These are great points. Thanks Michelle. The easiest way to compare versions of the Bible is Biblehub.com. You can see them all on the left hand column of the site. And I love to click on the Lexicon tab on the site as well to see the Greek and Hebrew meanings. They also shed so much light on the meaning of the verses. The Lord will affirm that you have the right verse, too. He can cause you to be excited about the life application of the verse and see how your life is an example of a living breathing example of that verse! It is actually really cool when you find the right one!
