Hi Sue! At the moment, I’m doing the following to experience what God promised/ showed me: 1) find Scriptures that relate to what God promises/showed me, 2) ask God in journaling to tell me more about what He promised me, 3) pray in tongues extensively while meditating on the Scriptures relating to what God showed me, 4) ask people who’ve experienced something similar to what God promised/showed me.

Awesome systematic approach George! I also pick words out of my journaling and ask the Lord to expand or give me further understanding. This is so I understand exactly what God means by what He says and I’m not making any assumptions according to my own understanding. It’s a really fruitful pursuit. I see it as keeping me from being disappointed when things don’t turn out like I expected.

Thanks for this discussion topic, Sue! Great suggestions. I like to remind God of the promise and ask Him in what ways I can partner and cooperate with Him today to move toward it. I tend to do this when the Lord reminds me first of the promise. I take that as a hint that He has something He wants me to do today about it.
